David B. “Dave” King, 46, of Shelbyville, formerly of Morristown, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus.
He was born October 11, 1966, in Beech Grove, to Earl Robert and Doris “Jean” (Huff) King. He married Vergie M. Holder on October 12, 1996, and she survives.
Other survivors include brother, Jeff (wife, Karla) King of Shelbyville; sister, Kristin “Kris” King of Hobart; nephew, Stuart King of Shelbyville; niece, Alana Wayne of Indianapolis; and great-nephew, Dwayne.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Dave last worked at Ernie’s Supermarket in Morristown, prior to that he worked in agriculture and farming at Terra in Fountaintown.
He went to Lincoln Tech to become an auto-diesel mechanic.
Dave was a member of the Fountaintown Volunteer Fire Department for several years, a former member of the Morristown Volunteer Fire Department and helped as a caretaker at Asbury Cemetery.
A gathering of friends will be from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. in Morristown.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Asbury Cemetery in Morristown.
